Hayastan alliance reveals top election candidates

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Hayastan alliance has announced the leading candidates of its electoral list ahead of upcoming elections.

The alliance published the names of the first 30 candidates, with Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan heading the list.

The top thirty of the pre-election list was approved at the final session of the 29th extraordinary Supreme Assembly of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) and at the congress of the “Forward” party.

The Hayastan faction currently holds 27 seats in the National Assembly.

The faction’s current head, Seyran Ohanyan, is not included in the list, while secretary Artsvik Minasyan is ranked 29th. In addition, Armen Rustamyan is absent from the list, and Levon Kocharyan is placed 10th.

Regular parliamentary elections are scheduled for June 7.
