Armenia, Lithuania discuss visa liberalization![]() April 13, 2026 - 17:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan and Lithuania’s Deputy Foreign Minister Audra Plepytė exchanged views on the visa liberalization process with the European Union. Grigoryan welcomed Plepytė’s visit to Armenia, emphasizing the steady and developing dynamics of political dialogue between Armenia and Lithuania. The interlocutors also discussed the Armenia–EU cooperation agenda, regional developments, and other issues of mutual interest. On December 2, 2025, following the 6th meeting of the Armenia–EU Partnership Council in Brussels, Armenia and the European Union signed a strategic partnership agenda. The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
