Relatives of fallen and missing servicemen assembled in the National Assembly reception area, calling for the release of the investigative commission’s report on the 44-day war.
During the protest, one participant removed a sock and said he was giving it to Andranik Kocharyan, Panorama.am reports.
“I give my sock to Andranik Kocharyan. What we have lived through and what they have lived through are different; the socks we wear are cleaner than the life you have lived. I say this sincerely. Any parent who agrees with me can bring their sock and place it here,” he said.
Several parents joined the action, leaving their socks in the reception area.
Participants also met with opposition MP Taguhi Tovmasyan from the I Have Honor faction, who commented on the situation.
“I have no expectations from Andranik Kocharyan; he cannot uncover the circumstances of the 44-day war. Why is it not being published? There is nothing to publish; they have not managed to reveal anything. In substance, these are empty pages,” Tovmasyan said.
She added that she does not trust Kocharyan as head of the commission and questioned the credibility of the report.
“One of our colleagues, Tigran, has read the report and said in an interview that it resembles publications of Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper. I do not believe in Andranik Kocharyan’s integrity or political impartiality, and I have no expectations from this commission’s report,” the opposition lawmaker said.
She also argued that, in her view, decision-making is concentrated in the hands of one individual.
“He is an MP, a minister, a judge, a prosecutor, and the opposition all at once,” Tovmasyan said.
Parents and relatives of soldiers missing during the 44-day war had already appealed to the Speaker of Parliament in December 2025, requesting information about the findings of the investigative commission examining the circumstances of the war.
