What steps will Turkey undertake with a diplomatic football on its filed?
"Ruling RA Republican Party has repeatedly expressed its viewpoint on Armenian-Turkish relations. We support establishment of relations without preconditions," RA Republican Party Secretary Eduard Sharmazanov told a news conference in Yerevan.
Sharmazanov is assured that there are two issues, which can't possibly serve as a precondition in Armenian-Turkish rapprochement. "These are: international acknowledgement of Armenian Genocide and NKR conflict settlement. Sooner or later, the world community, including Turkey will recognize the Genocide," he noted.
At the same time, Sharmazanov believes that by starting football diplomacy, Serzh Sargsyan proved himself to be a 21st century politician. His steps were assessed highly by US Department of State and EU. "At the moment the "diplomatic" football is on Turkey's field. As a person who knows football rules, I assert that when two players are striking the ball at the same time, the ball is out of game. It's now time for our Turkish colleagues to act," Sharmazanov stated.
