Armenia, NATO discuss expanding partnership projects![]() April 22, 2026 - 11:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative Kevin Hamilton, who is in Yerevan, discussed projects aimed at expanding cooperation, with a key component being support for reforms and democratic development in Armenia. The sides expressed satisfaction with the active dynamics of political dialogue between Armenia and NATO. Mirzoyan presented the latest regional developments, as well as steps being taken toward normalization of relations with neighbors and further institutionalization of peace. Addressing the topic of regional connectivity, the parties emphasized that under new realities, the South Caucasus can serve as a connecting bridge. This is also reflected in Armenia’s proposed “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. The meeting also included an exchange of views on issues related to international security and cooperation within multilateral platforms. During a meeting in Yerevan with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Hamilton stated that NATO values its partnership with Armenia and is ready to continue cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
