Bangladeshi nationals to be deported from Armenia![]() April 29, 2026 - 12:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Three Bangladeshi nationals will be deported from Armenia after attempting to cross the border into Georgia through a restricted section in the Shirak region. According to Auroranews, the incident occurred on February 24, when the individuals tried to enter the border zone despite warning signs and without proper permits or required documents, bypassing official checkpoints. Border guards of Armenia’s National Security Service identified Murad Hossaini, Shakil Khan, and Razib Ahmed Khan and prevented the attempted violation. The Shirak Regional Court of First Instance, presided over by Judge Varsenik Melkonyan, found them guilty. Although the defendants admitted their guilt, the court ruled that this alone was insufficient to fulfill the objectives of punishment under Article 55 of Armenia’s Criminal Code. The court concluded that serving the imposed sentence was necessary to achieve the aims of punishment. In addition, as an extra measure, they will be expelled from the territory of the Republic of Armenia to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for a period of five years. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. Partner news |
