Armenia signs defense deals with French firms![]() May 5, 2026 - 18:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has signed agreements with French companies SOFEMA Group and Airbus Helicopters, under which transport helicopters and modern military equipment will be delivered to Armenia. The move is aimed at strengthening the mobility and logistical capabilities of the armed forces, according to Radar Armenia. At the same time, in the civil aviation sector, FlyOne Armenia has signed an agreement to purchase two new Airbus A321-200NX (Neo) narrow-body aircraft to expand its fleet. Earlier, Armenia and France signed a joint declaration establishing a strategic partnership, during French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Armenia. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
