Latvian president visits Genocide memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics, who arrived in Armenia on an official visit, paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

Latvia’s president was accompanied by Armenian Education, Science, Culture and Sports Minister Zhanna Andreasyan.

Rinkevics laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and placed flowers near the eternal flame.

On May 6, 2021, Latvia’s parliament officially recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide through a special declaration.
