CEC bans administrative resource use in campaigns

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Central Election Commission said the use of administrative resources during the organization and conduct of election campaigning is prohibited for public servants, employees of healthcare or medical institutions, educational institutions, and preschool establishments while carrying out their official duties or acting in their official capacity.

The CEC once again called on all participants to conduct election campaigning within the framework established by the Electoral Code constitutional law.

According to the commission, administrative resources include human, financial, and material means available to individuals holding public office or public service positions during elections due to their control over personnel, finances, and allocations in the public sector.

The election campaign that began on May 8 will continue until June 5. June 6 will be a day of silence, while elections are scheduled for June 7.
