Armenian aid convoy heads to Lebanon

On June 12, four Armenian trucks carrying humanitarian aid intended for Lebanon crossed the Margara border checkpoint and traveled through Turkey toward Lebanon, Armenpress reported.

Following negotiations with the Turkish side, the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reached an agreement on using the Margara checkpoint on the Armenian-Turkish border to deliver humanitarian assistance to Lebanon.

The total volume of the humanitarian cargo amounted to 80 tons, including 38 tons of medicines and hygiene supplies, and 42 tons of food products, including canned goods and other long-shelf-life items.

The collection of medical supplies was coordinated by Armenia’s Ministry of Health, while the Ministry of Economy was responsible for gathering the food products.

In 2025, Turkey opened the Margara border crossing to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid from Armenia to Syria.
