Armenian officials have recently commented on imports of Azerbaijani fuel, linking economic exchanges to broader regional cooperation efforts.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan addressed the issue of imports of Azerbaijani gasoline, stating: “As far as I understand, the purchase of gasoline is very beneficial for Armenian citizens. I saw calls for a boycott, but I also learned that there were queues for that gasoline.”
Asked why Azerbaijan was supplying gasoline to Armenia at low prices, Mirzoyan replied: “Because peace has been established and cooperation should be developed. Cargo from Azerbaijan and Turkey should pass through our territory, and ours should also transit through theirs.”
