Armenia invites EBRD president to COP17

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 16, Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Odile Renaud-Basso, president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, or EBRD.

During the meeting, Nersesyan presented Renaud-Basso with an invitation from the Armenian government to participate in the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, COP17, which will be held in Yerevan.

The two officials reviewed the longstanding partnership between Armenia and the EBRD and discussed opportunities to broaden cooperation in priority areas. They also exchanged views on developments in the region.

The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, COP17, will take place at Yerevan’s Meridian Expo Center from October 18 to 30, 2026.
