Cadence establishes engineering team in Armenia![]() July 17, 2026 - 16:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly Vice Speaker Hakob Arshakyan says the country's microelectronics sector has recorded another significant development, announcing that Cadence Design Systems now has an engineering team in Armenia following its acquisition of Ausdia Inc. In a social media post, Arshakyan said the move further strengthens Armenia's position on the global semiconductor industry map. According to him, Armenia is now home to engineering teams and divisions of several leading global microelectronics companies, including Cadence Design Systems, Synopsys, Siemens EDA, NVIDIA, AMD, Microchip Technology, National Instruments (Emerson), Broadcom, and Cisco. He also highlighted the contribution of Armenian technology companies such as Grovf, Integral Solutions, Varaga Solutions LLC, and others, saying they continue to expand the country's technological capabilities while creating new opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. "For a country with a population of three million, this represents an exceptional concentration of world-leading semiconductor companies," Arshakyan wrote. He added that every new investment creates additional opportunities for Armenian engineers and reflects growing confidence among international technology companies in Armenia. Arshakyan congratulated the Ausdia Inc. team and everyone involved in developing Armenia's microelectronics ecosystem, expressing confidence that the country will continue strengthening its role as an important hub for high technology and the semiconductor industry.
