"ARMENIA-DIASPORA" SECOND FORUM AGENDA APPROVED

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Armenia-diaspora" second forum will begin May 27. The forum agenda includes discussion of the following questions: 1.Political relations and propagandistic activity. 2.Information and press. 3.Armenia-diaspora organizational and structural development. 4.Enterprise and economy. 5.Science, education and culture. The forum participants' registration will begin May 25 in hotel "Armenia." The opening will be held May 27 in the sport-cultural center after Karen Demirchian. The representatives of the government of Armenia will speak at the first meeting. The forum participants will lay wreaths to the memorial of the Armenian genocide victims at noon. The forum will continue work in the form of subject seminars in the afternoon. In the course of the seminar entitled "Political relations and propagandistic activity" the viewpoints of Armenia and the diaspora on the national priorities and challenges, as well as questions of the Karabakh conflict settlement, recognition of the fact of the Armenian genocide, relations with Turkey and other regional countries, policy directed towards the Near East and Europe will be discussed. Questions concerning expansion of the framework of the Armenian lobby activity and enhancing Armenia's role in the international structures is also planned to be discussed. At "Information and press" seminar the basic attention will be paid to the questions of using the potentials of the Internet to create a common information field, coverage of the diaspora life in Armenia and other items. "Armenia-diaspora organizational and structural development" seminar will be devoted to specification of the national priorities under the conditions of dynamic changes occurring in the contemporary world, solving problems and reconciliation of variances, appearing in the relations between Armenia and the diaspora. The participants of the seminar entitled "Enterprise and economy" will consider questions regarding further development of the economy of Armenia, the existing problems, expansion of the economic field, creating new employment vacancies and realizing new programs. "Science, education and culture" seminar will discuss matters to do with the national education, Armenian studies programs, realization of education syllabi, protection of national values, common scientific and cultural strategy, expansion of mutual ties. The forum final seminar, at which the resulting speeches will be heard and decisions and statements will be made will take place May 28.
