One of streets in Istanbul to be named after Hrant Dink
People in Istanbul have launched a campaign for renaming one of the town's streets after Hrant Dink. The street is situated in Shishli district where the editorial office of "Agos" Armenian newspaper was situated. District inhabitants collected signatures for renaming the street after Hrant Dink, newspaper's Editor-in-Chief, assassinated on February 19, 2009. Inhabitants' request has already received district municipality's approval, Armenia's permanent representative in Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) said. "But the final decision rests with the Mayor of Istanbul," he added.
