In June signing of an accord on cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia in the sphere of security is planned in Istanbul. As reported by «Arminfo» agency making reference to Azeri mass media, the document provides for interaction of the neighbor countries within such issues as struggle against terrorism, organized crime, weapon contraband. The Presidents of these states Heydar Aliyev, Ahmet Sezer and Eduard Shevardnadze plan signing the preliminary agreements in the sphere of security in Turkish Trabzon city April 29. Azeri President will leave for Turkey April 28. The document provides for cooperation in the sphere of exchange of information and documents on the struggle against international terrorism and on security matters. In the course of the negotiations the parties will discuss questions of realization of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum pipeline building projects, putting into operation Kars-Akhalkalaki-Baku railway branch and laying fiber-optic cable between Georgian Poti and Turkish Rize towns.
