Serzh Sargsyan should come to Turkey, even if the border had not opened
The agreement reached between Yerevan and Ankara to launch a process of normalization of relations and the two Protocols on establishing diplomatic relations are result of long secret negotiations conducted under the auspices of Switzerland.

The best and the most important part of these documents is the fact that the first step to be done is to open the border within two months, Aybars Gorgulu, expert at Sabanci University, assistant program manager for foreign policy of the Turkish Center TESEV told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

"This is what we wanted for a long time, since opening of borders is the key step in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations," the Turkish expert emphasized.

According Aybars Gorgulu, now it is up to the political elites of both countries to convince the public and parliaments to adopt these protocols. "This process may take longer than two months, but Serzh Sargsyan should come to Turkey for the return match, even if the border before this would not be opened. His refusal could jeopardize the entire process and all the efforts made so far, " the Turkish expert said.
