Moskovsky Komsomolets Daily apologized to RA President
Moskovsky Komsomolets Daily acknowledged negligence allowed in the article entitled "Yerevan, remembering kinship", published on September 21 and dedicated to 18th anniversary of independence in Armenia. The article was presented as an exclusive interview with RA President Serzh Sargsyan.
"In reality, RA President was not interviewed by Moskovsky Komsomolets," Deputy MK Editor-in-Chief, Vadim Poegli told Interfax. "An unprepared article was published through the fault of editor on duty. As a result, misinterpreted parts of presidential statements were used in the article, as well as hypothetical questions never addressed to him."
"MK editorial board brings its apologies and congratulates RA President and Armenian people on Independence Day. We hope our unfortunate mistake will not spoil anyone's holiday," Vadim Poegli noted, adding that MK will publish an official apology on September 23.
