The Aram Khachaturian Trio presents new disc in Yerevan
The Aram Khachaturian Trio - Karen Shahgaldyan (violin), Armine Grigoryan (piano) and Karen Kocharyan (cello) - presented Wednesday a new disc in Yerevan. With this disc and a concert on September 26, the Trio will mark its 10th anniversary in Chamber Music House.

The disc was recorded in Yerevan, in Aram Khachaturian's house museum," violin player Karen Shahgaldyan said.

Dmitry Shostakovich's Trio #2 e-moll op. 67 and Arno Babajanyan's trio for violin, cello and piano, fis-moll are recorded.

"These are two major compositions in chamber genre," Shahgaldyan said.

Day after the concert, on September 27, musicians will give autographs in Star-city shop.

The Aram Khachaturian Trio was founded in 1999 as Arsika Trio and was renamed in 2008. The Trio toured extensively throughout Armenia, Russia, Switzerland, Central and South America. It has also participated in a number of prestigious festivals, such as the Festival de las Artes (Costa Rica) and Festival International Cervantino (Mexico).
