«A1+» TV COMPANY DEPRIVED OF RIGHT FOR TV BROADCASTING ON 37 DECIMETRIC FREQUENCY

PanARMENIAN.Net - By a majority, the national committee on television and radio of Armenia has reached a decision on deprivation of «A1+»'s right for TV broadcasting on 37 decimetric channel. The winner of the tender for the right to broadcast on this frequency is «Sharm» firm that promised to attract $800,000 for the establishment of the TV company. «A1+» is one of the first non-governmental TV channels in Armenia. It was the first to provide with round-the-clock TV broadcasting and create news agency that is, perhaps, the most dynamic and efficient. Robert Kocharian has spoken about the quality and the efficiency of the news on «A1+». At the same time, some programs of the channel are notable for their marked disloyalty to the authorities and this, according to the leadership of the company, is the real cause of the deprivation of the right for TV broadcasting.
