Today in Yerevan the opening of the business-incubator in the sphere of informational technologies was held. The financing of this structure will be carried within the framework of the World Bank credit program as well as with the «Izmirian» fund support. According to «Arminfo» agency, the World Bank intends to spend about $ 5 million on the realization of the program. As Armenian trade and economic development minister Karen Chshmaritian has stated, the incubator will assist Armenian companies in their international market entry, it will also assist in IT private sector establishment in the republic, in realization of different educational programs. While speaking on the role of the government in the development of informational technologies in Armenia, Karen Chshmaritian has stated that according to the developed concept, the IT-sector is declared the priority-driven one and now it is necessary to find mechanisms for its development without major external investments.
