RA Government concerned over harvest purchase issues
RA Government and Agriculture Ministry are actively working to resolve agricultural production sales issue by studying outlet markets, RA National Assembly MP Misha Stepanyan reported.

The MP especially noted grape harvest purchase issue. "18 companies are ready to purchase around 36 000 tons of grapes. They will be joined by 10 more companies in about a week," he said, adding that RA President Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Armavir region significantly accelerated the process.

In his turn, Armenian Wine-Makers Union Chairman, Maran Company Director, Avag Harutyunyan added that RA Government forces winemakers into purchasing grape harvest. "In crisis circumstances, factories find it difficult to purchase the same grape harvest volumes as before," he said, noting that the industry is facing major problems, specifically, brandy sale volumes decreased by 60-70% in 2009. Still, he assured that the harvest will bee gathered, the sum and timing of labor remuneration being an issue.
