Armenia, France develop active cooperationOctober 5, 2009 - 21:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 5, RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrhamyan received a delegation led by French National Assembly member Michel Vauzelle , Chairman of Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azyur Regional Council's French Department.Welcoming guests, NA Speaker expressed confidence that delegation's visit would contribute to the development of Armenia-French ties. Mr. Abrahmyan highly appreciated decentralized cooperation between two countries' regions. Speaker also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Vauzelle for holding firm stance on and making personal contribution to international recognition of Armenian Genocide. Anrhamyan attached special importance to regional council's December 12, 2008 decision proposing French Government and Senate to include in their agenda a bill establishing criminal liability for Genocide denial. Upon the guests' request, Hovik Abrahamyan introduced Armenia's approaches to Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish rapprochement.
