WISCONSIN STATE SENATE ADOPTED RESOLUTION ON RECOGNITION OF APRIL 24 AS MEMORIAL DAY OF 1915 ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS
Yesterday US Wisconsin state Senate adopted the resolution, according to which April 24 is declared the Memorial day of 1915 Armenian Genocide victims. As "Mediamax" reports, the document states, 1.5 million of Armenians were killed, thousands were departed from Ottoman Turkey. It also notes that Turkey, unfortunately, continues to deny the fact of Genocide. The senators of Wisconsin state have explained the importance of the adoption of the resolution with striving for improvement of the standard of the information distribution regarding the crimes like genocide in order to prevent it in the future.
