Carles Puyol: Armenia have never scored against Spain
Spain will not rest on their laurels when they face Armenia in Yerevan this evening, according to Barcelona defender Carles Puyol.

"We will go out to win the game as usual. Every game for la Seleccion is important for the image that you give," Puyol explained.

"We have to take advantage of this because there are not many chances for us all to play together, so we must make the most of every game. The coach will prepare us in the best way possible and we will go out to do things right."

Spain have faced Armenia before, but have rarely been tested by them, having never conceded a goal to the Armenians in an official match. However, history is not something that Puyol is intent on relying on.

"We will try and make sure they don't score, not only because they have never done so against Spain, but because defending well is an aim for us in every game," goal.com cited him as saying.

"We have players with great talent and we will try and play our football, but everything starts with defending well."
