Armenian chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan representing Armenia at European Team Chess Championship 2009, won the 3rd place in ETCC individual event and was awarded a medal and a prize of 500 euro.

After the 9th tour, Armenian chess player had 6,5 to her score, coming second to Georgia's Bela
Khotenashvili. Nadezhda Kosintseva of Russia, showed the best results, gaining 8 points in 9 tours.
