RA government to address Lake Sevan basin cleaning problems
Armenia possesses the largest fresh water storage basin in the region. To maintain it, the government has decided to address Lake Sevan basin cleaning problems.

"This year we launched a program to clean inundated timber lands, which will be accomplished by the end of the year," said Vladimir Movsisyan, chairman of the committee on Lake Sevan problems.

He also informed that 3 cleaning stations will be constructed and put into operation next year.

"Municipal economies are worst pollutants," Movsisyan said, adding that household refuse junkyards and waste recycling are also in focus.
