Armenian leadership and opposition can cooperate on the national issues settlement within the framework of the parliament. Armenian president Robert Kocharian told journalists today. In his words, cooperation of such character is possible, particularly, on the issues of external policy, such as Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and relations with the Diaspora. At the same time, the president emphasized, it is necessary to differentiate issues, the authorities are directly responsible for, and consequently, the opposition forces cannot be the initiators in these issues. "Nevertheless, the opposition has its importance in the life of a state, as constant analysis and criticism of the government's weak points offers an incentive to the state ruling bodies for more productive work", - R. Kocharian considers.
