Turkish citizen of Armenian decent may hold public postNovember 25, 2009 - 21:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - For the first time in history, a Turkish citizen of Armenian decent may be appointed to the post of expert in EU General Secretariat under Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis.Among 115 contenders, Leo Suren Alepli was elected for the post. In case of passing his exam, he may become Turkey's public servant on EU Affairs, Turkish Hurriyet reports. "But the last word," the newspaper says, "will rest with Turkish intelligence services which will conduct an oral interview with Leo Suren." In case of receiving approval, Leo Suren Alepli will be the first non-Turkish citizen to hold a public post.
