Speaker of Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Murtuz Aleskerov commissioned the members of Azeri permanent delegation in PACE to get the Assembly to discuss the events in Karabakh settlement of Khojalu, where peaceful residents including those of Azeri nationality, too, died in the course of its assault. It is planned to pass a statement concerning the tenth anniversary of the events in Khojalu at the session of the Azeri Parliament February 26. Before the end of February the Parliament of Azerbaijan also intends to pass a decision concerning the events in Sumgait in 1988. According to the information available, Azeri special services plan presenting fake documents to the legislators, aiming to prove that the Armenian genocide in Sumgait was organized by Armenians themselves.
