ARMENIAN AND RUSSIAN LAW-ENFORCEMENT BODIES TO RESIST DRUG CIRCULATION JOINTLY
The law-enforcement bodies of Russia and Armenia will hold joint operations to counteract illegal circulation of drugs. As reported by "Novosti" Russian agency, Russian minister of internal affairs Boris Gryzlov told journalists in Moscow after a sitting of the Joint Board of that Russian ministry and the Armenian Police. "We have arranged to hold such operations as, for instance, "Channel" operation and all of them will be coordinated at the level of our efficient elements," - B. Gryzlov said. At present besides traditional ways of transportation of drugs to Russia and Afghanistan, new channels are arranged, the minister noted. In his words, bringing synthetic drugs from West Europe to Russia began of late.
