CAPITOL HILL TO COMMEMORATE 87TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
Members of Congress will join the Armenian American community in the 8th Annual Observance of the Armenian Genocide, which took place in Ottoman Turkey in 1915. The ceremony is held by the Armenian National Committee of America in Capitol Hill. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and US Representative Jim McGovern (D-MA) will participate in the observance, which will take place on April 17. Let us remind they have been consistent supporters of issues of special concern to Armenian Americans, especially initiatives that recognize the Armenian Genocide. Survivors of the Armenian Genocide, members of the diplomatic community, and leaders of human rights organizations will join the commemoration.
