Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Armen Khachatrian passed the premium awarded to him lately for contribution to strengthening the unity of the western Christian peoples to the center of culture under the Armenian Embassy in Moscow. The prize instituted by the International Fund of Unity of Orthodox Peoples, which is being conferred to the biggest statesmen, religious and public figures, was handed to Armen Khachatrian by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II. The money given by the Speaker of the National Assembly to the cultural center under the Armenian Embassy will be used to reconstruct the church built at the beginning of the century by merchant and patron of the arts Lazarev in the village of Frianovo in Moscow surroundings.
