YEREVAN BRANDY COMPANY WILL INCREASE GRAPE PURCHASE AMOUNT AND PURCHASING PRICES
Yerevan Brandy Company stated it intended to buy not less than 15 thousand tons of grapes of the harvest of 2002. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, it is planned to raise the purchasing price to 80 Armenian drams for a kilogram. In 2001 the factory was originally planning to acquire 10 thousand tons of grapes, and later increased the amount planned. As a result the purchase amount last year made 13.5 thousand tons at the price of 75 Armenian drams for a kilogram. The purchase sum made about 1.8 million dollars total. The factory has set about concluding contracts with the winegrowers for a three-year term, in the course of which the enterprise guarantees buying certain sorts of the soft fruits at fixed prices.
