ARMENIA CONTINUES TO SUPPLY ENERGY TO GEORGIA
«Armrosgazprom» Company will continue to supply the energy to Georgia's capital until 2002, January 20. The energy has been supplied since December 29, 2001 with 120 megawatt installed capacity daily. According to «Arminfo», «Armrosgazprom» is ready to continue the supplies of energy after January 20 if the Georgian side introduces payment guaranty. American «AES-Telasy» Company, the owner of Tbilisi power distributing nets undertook to pay for the energy supplied now. The cost of the bargain is not announced but there is information that Americans acquire the energy for $2.5 per kWh. It should be reminded that power supplies to Georgia has begun after the plant failure at the Gardaban hydroelectric power station on New Year's Eve.
