Yerevan to host children and youth book fair

National Children's Library of Armenia after Khnko Aper (NCLA) will host the 3rd Children and Youth Book Fair between February 19 and 21 in Yerevan.

The fair will be attended by a number of Armenian publishers. U.S. Embassy and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran will expose children's and youth books published over the past few years.

The books will be offered at 20 per cent discount.

As Chairman of National Association of Publishers of Armenia Mkrtich Karapetyan said, this 20 per cent reduction will help to promote the book market and to boost the interest of the public towards books.

“We hope the book fair will help to revive the interest of young people towards reading,” Ruzanna Tonoyan, NCLA director said.

The Book Fair will be held in the framework of events dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing.

Book fairs will also be organized in the Armenian regions and the Republic of Artsakh (NKR) by 2012.
