AZERBAIJANI SPECIAL SERVICES SPREAD INFORMATION THAT ATTEMPT ON HEYDAR ALIYEV'S SON ALLEGEDLY PREPARED
Azerbaijani special services have spread information that the attempt on the President's son Ilham Aliyev was averted in Baku. It is informed that the attempt on his life should have been committed by Azerbaijani ex-soldier Mohammed Ojaverdiev that had been released from captivity by Armenia the day before. Azerbaijan's National Security Ministry leadership claims that Ojaverdiyev gives evidence proving that Armenian special services made him agree to participate in the terrorist act. Meanwhile, two months before that the National Security Ministry of Armenia spread a statement that Mohammed Ojaverdiyev arrested when crossing the Nakhichevan-Armenia boarder, offered his service to Armenia's special services for committing terrorist acts in Azerbaijan. At that time, information proving that Ojaverdiyev was an agent of Azerbaijan's special services was found. It is found out that he was recruited when he was serving his sentence for desertion by Azerbaijan's Ministry of National Security and after special training was sent to Armenia to provoke the special services of our country to recruit him and to use him in terrorist acts. It was supposed to accuse Armenia of terrorism and to discredit it in world community's opinion if the operation succeeded. After Armenian National Security Ministry statement, Azerbaijani special services took an interesting measure to avoid the responsibility for Ojaverdiyev's actions. An article that, according to Ojaverdiyev's relatives, he is mentally ill and does not know what he speaks about, has appeared in Baku press. Today the legend about Ojaverdiyev's mental illness impedes the author's of the new legend about the attempt that is allegedly prepared.
