In the 4th round of Amber Blindfold and Rapid Tournament, The Ukrainian grandmaster Vasily Ivanchuk defeated last year’s winner Levon Aronian 1,5-0,5.

After four rounds of the tournament, Aronian shares 7-10 places with Sergei Karjakin (Russia), Peter Svidler (Russia) and Vugar Gashimov (Azerbaijan).

Magnus Carlsen and Vasily Ivanchuk are tied for first in the overall standings with 6 points from 8 games.
