Serzh Sargsyan: Armenian community in France and Francophonie countries plays significant role in strengthening of relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Wednesday, April 7, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with Francophonie International Organization Secretary General Abdou Diouf.

As RA leader stated, Armenia has century-old ties with France and French culture, ties too close to refer personalities like Charles Aznavour, Mishel Legran, Anry Vernoy, Alain Terzian, Garzou, Jansem to purely Armenian or French culture. “Armenian community in France and Francophonie countries also plays a significant role in strengthening of relations,” Serzh Sargsyan noted.

Francophonie International Organization Secretary General Abdou Diouf, in turn, emphasized that Armenia completely fulfills its obligations in its capacity of Francophonie associated member.

During the meeting parties focused on further collaboration issues, presidential press service reported.
