US STATE DEPARTMENT PUTS PRESSURE UPON CONGRESS TO WIN 907 SECTION REPEAL

PanARMENIAN.Net - The activist of, so called, «Armenian group» of the US Congress, member of the House of Representatives Frank Pallone has stated that the state department puts pressure upon the Congress to win the 907 Section repeal. According to «Arminfo», Pallone has said that the letter of US secretary of State to lawmakers was «not successful». «The section repeal will legalize the amoral Azerbaijani blockade against Armenia and will promote Baku uncompromising position in the negotiation process for Karabakh settlement», thinks the congressman. Frank Pallone has also expressed worry about the fact that Powell suggested rendering military assistance to Azerbaijan, whish is «known for its aggressive policy regarding Armenia and Nagorno Kasrabakh».
