LIFTING OF ECONOMIC SANCTIONS AGAINST PAKISTAN CAUSES BURST OF POSITIVE EMOTIONS IN BAKU
Yesterday the House of Representatives of the US Congress made a decision to lift the economic sanctions against Pakistan adopted after Islamabad's beginning of nuclear weapon development, which was contrary to the world community requirement. This step of American lawmakers is the reaction toward the general Musharaf regime assistance to the antiterrorist coalition countries in the realization of the military operation against Talibans. The congress decision has caused a burst of positive emotions in Azerbaijan where it is thought that official Baku support to Washington in the realization of the actions in Afghanistan might bring to the lifting of 907 Section of Freedom Support Act that forbids the administration assistance to Azerbaijan until it lifts the blockade of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
