Resolution condemning Israel not included in CICA final statement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member countries of the Confidence on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) slammed the Israeli act against the Gaza-bound aid flotilla but failed to include the condemning resolution in the final statement over the lack of consensus.

Israel represented by its Ambassador to Turley Gabby Levy vetoed the move requiring consensus to be adopted, Turkish President Abdullah Gul told press conference.

"All member-states, except one (Israel), expressed their grave concern and condemnation for the actions undertaken by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)," the statement said.
