Armenia prepares for increasing passenger flow

Armenia-based Avia Educational Center CJSC and Ulyanovsk Higher Civil Aviation School signed an agreement on cooperation in April 2010, Head of GDCA (General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia) Flight Safety Inspection Department Serob Karapetyan said.

“According to the agreement, graduates of the Avia Educational Center can train in the Ulyanovsk Higher Civil Aviation School and 10 entrants can study there by the RA government’s order. Besides, the agreement envisages a training course for Avia Center specialists,” he said during a joint new conference with Director of Avia Educational Center, Frida Muradyan.

“In 5 years, Armenia will have 50 professional pilots, what will help serve the passenger flow which will increase with construction of a new terminal in Zvartnots Airport,” Karapetyan said.

Ms. Muradyan said, for her part, that the Center trains specialists in compliance with international standards which are demanded in Armenia and beyond it.

“In February 2010, the Center graduated dispatchers and navigators, 80% of whom will be provided with job,” she said.
