Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan delivered a speech at Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Germany.

“Refraining from Protocols ratification, Turkey refused to fulfill its obligations. The country returned to its initial position, once again resorting to the language of threats and preconditions,” Armenian President stated, commenting on the failure of Armenia-Turkey reconciliation.

“Failure in Armenia-Turkey rapprochement is explained by Turkish government’s lack of will and perseverance, as well as Azeri pressure factor, according to some experts.”

As the President noted, many issues in the region tend to be resolved from the position of force, with the more powerful countries trying to impose their own solutions. “Policy of “zero problems with neighbors” leads to zero results,” the President pointed out, adding that the situation will remain unchanged until Turkey continues to pursue its own interests on the background of regional conflicts.

In conclusion, Armenian President urged regional leaders to rise above political disagreements, striving to build the future instead of looking back into the past, presidential press service reported.
