Literature forum to be organized as part of One Nation, One Culture Festival

Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said that the Ministry signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Union of Writers of Armenia.

“The Ministry of Diaspora jointly with the Union of Writers of Armenia is implementing programs as part of One Nation, One Culture festival. The festival has kicked off in April and will last until November,” Hakobyan told a press conference.

According to the Minister, they aim to involve young writers in the program. “It is important for us that Yerevan is hosting presentations of books these days. Besides, editor of Istanbul-based Marmara paper and his deputy will participate in the forum,” Hakobyan said.

For his part, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Armenia Levon Ananyan said the Forum’s geography has expanded – writers from 20 countries arrive in Armenia.

Besides, thematic sittings will be held as part of the festival to discuss globalization of the contemporary Armenian literature, problems of literature media in Armenia and Diaspora, etc.

Hranush Hakobyan added that works are implemented also in Armenia’s regions. The Forum will kick off in Tsaghkadzor.
