On July 2, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met with OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, Ambassadors Robert Bradtke (USA) and Igor Popov (Russian Federation) to discuss latest developments and prospects of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement.

Foreign Minister of the Artsakh Republic Georgy Petrosyan and personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office Andrzej Kasprzyk were also attending.

Noting that Azerbaijan’s unconstructive position hampers the conflict settlement, President Sahakyan emphasized that the recent grave violation ceasefire did not get an adequate response from the international community. “Independence of Nagorno Karaakh is indisputable. Any attempt to return the past is pregnant with grave consequences,” he said.

He reiterated Artsakh’s adherence to peaceful settlement of the conflict in the framework of the Minsk Group and noted that attempts to distort and change it would have only a negative impact on the negotiation process. In this context, he stressed the necessity full-fledged participation of Artsakh in the negotiation process, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President.
