Collective thinking should be formed in Armenian society, according to the actress Arsinée Khanjian.

As Arsinée Khanjian pointed out at panel discussion on the Policy of Culture, organised by Civilitas foundation and Counterpart International, “Even in 20 years after declaration of independence Armenian society still adheres to Soviet-time mentality. Yet, I can see how Armenian youth refuses to comply with this way of thinking. To form a modern society, people have only to realize they can establish the rules, making their opinion matter.”

The actress characterized Armenian TV as an important educational system, adding however, “Armenian TV has an issue with freedom of speech. This is a reason behind recent abundance of TV series on family life or mafia, screened instead of political talk-shows which could arise serious confrontation.”
