0.8% deflation recorded at Armenia’s consumer market in July 2010

The RA National Statistical Service reported that 0.8% deflation was recorded in consumer market of Armenia in July as compared with June 2010. The prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) decreased by 1.5%, while for non-foods - by 0.4%. Besides, 0.2% growth was recorded in tariffs for services during the reporting period.

The index of consumer prices made 107.8% in July 2010 as compared with the same period of last year, also for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) - 108.9%, non-foods - 107.4%, services - 106.3%; while the index of consumer prices in January-July 2010 made 107.4%, 105.6%, 112.5% and 108.1% respectively as compared with the same period of 2009.
