On August 4, RA National Library hosted a meeting with filmmaker, writer and photographer Boris Baratov , who presented his recent book album 1989-2009 Karabakh Chronicles.

At the meeting, the author spoke of information war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“We’re losing the information war, allowing Azerbaijan to continue with anti- Armenian agitation all over the world. Azeri media incessantly circulate stories on Armenian authorities deceiving people with information about the “so-called Genocide”. They maintain that Karabakh was always a part of Azerbaijan, whereas in fact, every inch of Artsakh land is liberated by the blood of Armenian soldiers,” Boris Baratov stressed.

Commenting on Armenian media, the writer noted, “Even the best Armenian journalists or political experts fail to make themselves heard in the world, the reason being our unwillingness to take our issues outside the country. Even a Russian-language newspaper is released in 3000 copies here, which is a shame.”

As the author noted, “Books like 1989-2009 Karabakh Chronicles should be popularized throughout the world to make it aware of the actual history of Armenia.”

“20 years of work resulted in Boris Baratov’s succeeding to present 5000 year-old history of Artsakh,” Doctor of Historical Sciences, principle research officer at RA NAS, Eduard Danielyan stated.
