ArmenTel CJSC (trademark Beeline) has tripled 3G network capacity in Yerevan. Currently, the outgoing traffic’s average speed for subscribers of Beeline mobile internet makes 3 MB/sec, the company’s press service reported.

“Through expansion of 3G network in Yerevan, we have completed the first stage of tripling 3G network capacity in Armenia that was envisaged for 2010. Now it is the turn of regions, where the works on network expansion will be completed by the end of 2010. Besides, due to recent introduction of HSUPA technology, we have managed to increase the outgoing traffic speed from a subscriber to the operator by ten times,” said CEO of ArmenTel CJSC Igor Klimko.

In addition, the company is going to set over 100 base stations, significantly expanding 3G network coverage in Armenia’s regions.
